Tragedy unfolds as Link Road fund paid to ESCC

A heritage tragedy appears to be unfolding no matter what the good people of Hastings or Bexhill want. I have just been told that the Department of Transport have given East Sussex County Council the money to build their link road today. This is despite the fact the issues relating to the heritage claims have not been resolved by the court and the new evidence for the Battle of Hastings and the Norman Invasion site in the Crowhurst valley has not been looked at by any of the authorities who should have done this work (including English Heritage).

Gutted! What a shame. Are you still gonna organise some digs this spring/summer?
